The Creator has promised His People that they will never be totally destroyed.

Four thousand years ago, the Creator of the entire universe has promised that His people will never be completely destroyed

You, the living Jew of the twenty-first century, are evidence of the fact that this promise has been fulfilled.  This tiny nation - less than one half a percent of the people on the face of the globe - is nonetheless eternal, because G-d wills it to be so.

All around us, the world glitters, beckons, entices, and this little, eternal nation…?

Western culture beckons to you, just as Egyptian society lured your forefathers in their time.  Where is the culture of the pharaohs and their pyramids today?  They faded into history, and be replaced by the philosophers of Greece and Rome, and then the champions of the Church and of Islam.

The struggle continues today.  One “-ism” vies with another to win you to its ranks.  One of them is Judaism.

You are asked to decide: Do you belong to Western society?  Shall you be just another driven leaf, tossed once here, once there, at the whim of the winds of conformity?  Or will you cast your fate with the Jews, few in number, but immune to death and extinction?

It is your decision, but it will not affect you alone.  With each step you take toward one side or the other, you carry with you your children, your grandchildren, and all their future descendants.  The responsibility is too great to be left to casual default.

Investigate your heritage; savor its riches, weigh its values.  In short, don't just default, make an informed decision.

Recall the vision of Moses: "The bush is aflame, but the bush is not consumed." (Exodus 3:2)  So, too, are the People of Israel sometimes set aflame, but never consumed, never destroyed as a nation.

You, the son or daughter of the Jewish nation, were born to be a Jew – an informed Jew, with a full awareness of your heritage and an appreciation for its eternal values.  You did not come into this world empty-handed; you arrived with a proud history and tradition. The collective memory of your People is embedded within you.

As your birthright, you, too, bear the seeds of the Eternal Jew.

Plant them, cultivate them, and they will bear you rich fruits; taste these fruits, and savor them. They will nourish you and imbue you with new strength and purpose.  They are yours, to enjoy forever.

Your future is in your hands.  It's up to you!
